SLCC strives to be an inclusive and welcoming working and learning environment for all employees. As part of the college’s response to the SLCC Cultural Work Environment Assessment report. SLCC is offering a new online course and live discussion to better understand bias and microaggressions, and how they can affect our sense of belonging at work. You are invited to take this short 30-minute, self-paced course in Canvas designed in partnership with Dr. Derald Wing Sue, a leading researcher and author on this topic. The course includes activities to identify the hidden messages associated with microaggressions and practice for how to speak up and interrupt a microaggression when it happens or afterwards.

Participants should complete the course before attending the learning session
