About this Event
Salt Lake Community College Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) invites you to join us and celebrate International Mother Language Day on February 20-22. Award-winning poets Rosa Maqueda Vicente, Hñähñu, from Valle del Mezquital (México), and Miguel Ángel Oxlaj, Mayan-Kaqchikel, from Chi Xot (Comalapa, Guatemala) will provide attendees with a unique experience to learn and get immersed in learning poetry in their mother tongue. Evening events will provide art workshops for children ages 6+
Refreshments will be provided.
