The SLCC Poet Laureate is hosting a special event featuring a reading by award-winning Filipinx poet, Ina Cariño. Originally from Baguio City in the Philippines, Cariño’s work has appeared in the American Poetry Review, the Margins, Guernica, Poetry Northwest, Poetry Magazine, the Paris Review Daily, Waxwing, New England Review, and elsewhere. They are the recipient of a Whiting Award, Kundiman Fellowship, and other honors. Feast, Cariño’s first book of poetry, won the Alice James Book Award and was published in 2023.
