“In Their Words” aims to spark meaningful conversations about homelessness and challenge public perceptions by placing lived experiences front and center. The exhibit be at the Markosian Library at the Redwood Taylorsville Campus from January 14th - February 26th, 2026. Amplify Utah hopes to inspire compassion and build bridges between housed and unhoused populations.

“This exhibit gives space to the voices too often left out of public narratives,” said Amplify Utah's director Marcie Young Can. “We want our communities to engage with these stories in a way that is raw, real and deeply human.”

Amplify Utah, a nonprofit focused on inclusive storytelling and journalism, invites the public, community leaders and media to attend the opening. The exhibit includes work created in collaboration with individuals who have lived experience with homelessness.
