Staff Development - Stamped from the Beginning Learning Circle

Join Dr. Kathryn Kay Coquemont, Associate Vice President for Student Success, for a learning circle and group read of Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America by Dr. Ibram X. Kendi.

This learning circle will meet virtually in the spring and allows for up to 12 members. Members must register by the end of November, and the book will be provided for them in early December.

The spring meetings will be as follows:

  • Meeting 1: Thursday, January 14 from noon-1 pm (discussion on preface, prologue, and chapters 1-6)
  • Meeting 2: Thursday, February 4 from noon-1 pm (discussion on chapters 7-12)
  • Meeting 3: Thursday, February 25 from noon-1 pm (discussion on chapters 13-20)
  • Meeting 4: Thursday, March 25 from noon-1 pm (discussion on chapters 21-29)
  • Meeting 5: Thursday, April 22 from noon-1 pm (discussion on chapters 30-37 and epilogue)
