Staff Development - General Budget Center Managers and Administrative Assistants Training

The Controller’s Office has scheduled a refresher and advanced financial responsibility training. This training is intended for Budget Center Managers -current and new- and Administrative Assistants, as well as those who are more experienced who want to increase their understanding of Banner Finance screens, reports, and other financial responsibilities.

Learning Objectives
-Utilizing and understanding Banner-Finance screens, reports, and querying information online.
-Downloading Banner data to an excel spreadsheet.
-Budget forms, including help with preparing new year yellow budget forms needed for soft-funded indexes.
-Difference between transfers and journal entry requests.
-Year-end budget questions.
-Brief review of financial policies and procedures -e.g. Travel reimbursements, contract review, receiving cash receipts, etc.
-Question and Answer Period -one-on-one help.
