What is Pechakucha?

Pechakucha is an international event with over 1100 cities organizing events, which give creative minds, designers, artists, community organizers, local leaders, etc. an informal forum to present their latest projects, ideas, and inspirations. PechaKucha Night is an outlet to talk about something you’re passionate about, it is not a sales pitch. Presentations can be funny and entertaining, or serious and moving. PechaKucha Nights are a place to meet, network, and share ideas with a growing community of interesting people.  Here is our local PechaKucha Night SLC page:  http://www.pechakucha.org/cities/salt-lake-city

What is the Pechakucha presentation format?
"The idea behind PechaKucha is to keep presentations concise, the interest level up and to have many presenters sharing their ideas within the course of one night. Therefore the 20x20 PechaKucha format was created: each presenter is allowed a slideshow of 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each. This results in a total presentation time of 6 minutes 40 seconds on a stage before the next presenter is up...Presenters (and much of the audience) are usually from the design, architecture, photography, art, and creative fields, but recently it has also stretched over to the business world." -Klein Dytham architecture - founders of PechaKucha Night.
