Newroz (Novroz, Nowruz) is a new year celebration.

It is usually celebrated on the first day of spring on March 21st (sometimes the day before or after). They call this day "Norouz" meaning, "new day".

There are diverse populations around the globe that celebrate this important holiday. Among those groups are Persians, Tajik, Kurdish,
Azeri, Arminian and others.
