Salt Lake Community College

Art & Activism

This workshop is presented by Mariella Mendoza and is hosted by Civically Engaged Scholars. Art & Activism explores the role of art in our community and in the global activist community through the lens of indigenous sovereignty.

How does art uplift and honor our roots?

How does storytelling raise up the voices of marginalized communities?

Borrowing from stories of frontlines across the country and featuring local voices, this workshop is meant to hold space for our ability to create and to protect.
